Do Airframe Designs work with local schools / colleges / universities?

At Airframe Designs, we have close links with local universities and colleges, and often attend careers fairs, or engineering events to both promote the business and to attract engineering talent.

Do I need a driving licence?

This would be preferred but as long as you would be willing to work towards this if required, this should be a barrier.

How many holidays will I get?

Unless otherwise set out in your employment contract, you are entitled to 28 days' paid holiday in each holiday year, or the pro rata equivalent if you work part time. This includes the usual public holidays in England and Wales or days in lieu where we require staff to work on a public holiday.

How will my performance be managed?

You will be on an initial probation period of six months. You will be given performance reviews by your manager at agreed intervals, usually six months initially and eventually every 12 months.

If I have any questions before I apply, what's the best way to contact you?

You can drop us an email at reachout@airframedesigns.com or you can call us on 01253 400320. Please explore our website as your questions may be answered already.

What are Airframe Designs doing to address environmental issues?

We are working towards ISO 14001 certification, which is all about having an efficient Environmental Management System in place and we have recently installed 80 solar panels on our building to significantly reduce our carbon footprint as we work towards net zero emissions. We are always on the look out for energy saving ideas and welcome any staff suggestions.

Can I work at Airframe Designs if I don't have a British passport?

Due to the nature of some of the projects that we work on we require all staff to have a full British passport.

Do you offer work placements/work experience?

At the moment this is not something that Airframe Designs is offering.

Will I need a UK MOD security clearance?

As part of your onboarding process you will be required to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Due to the nature of the work we do it is also highly likely that you will need to be UK MOD SC cleared. Don't worry; we will help you through this process when required.
