This week is National Apprenticeship Week, the biggest week in the apprenticeships and skills calendar!
The week brings together those that are passionate about apprenticeships and skills to celebrate the value, benefit, and opportunity that they bring.
The Department for Education set the theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2025 as ‘Skills For Life’, a theme that Airframe Designs fully supports in our endeavour to harness the value of engineering degree apprentices as we grow our business.
AFD currently employs six engineering degree apprentices who are completing their degree with Blackpool & Fylde College, our education partner.
Our apprentices spend the majority of their time in our advanced engineering and additive manufacturing facility, gaining real-world experience on projects for our customers, earning a competitive salary whilst gaining a degree!
We have also recently hired our 7th apprentice who will shortly join our business administration team and will ultimately become a degree qualified specialist in this area of the business.
Last week we presented and exhibited at the inaugural B&FC Apprentice Jobs Fair which offered the opportunity for local businesses to meet and seek out talented students and for students to learn about the extensive apprenticeship opportunities that are available across the Fylde Coast. The event appeared to be a resounding success!
