Last week, a team from Airframe Designs attended the local Preston branch of the @aerosociety to present a lecture on the Structural design and certification of rotorcraft underslung baskets for human external cargo and live line working.
The lecture was led by Airframe Designs owner, Jerrod Hartley, a fellow with the society and field expert for under-slung loads and human external cargo, with support provided by Lisa Chambers, CEng, Structures Manager, and James Roy, IEng, Senior Stress Engineer.
Airframe Designs has been working with numerous design organisations over many years to support the structural substantiation of underslung loads and in particular HEC loads including the likes of AIRBUS Helicopters UK, Bond Aviation Group, Bell Helicopters, and QinetiQ.
