As highlighted in Plane Talk Autumn 2024, Airframe Designs has formed an Advisory Board to support its strategic growth.
As featured in the latest issue of Plane Talk Autumn 2024, Airframe Designs is at the forefront of using polymer additive manufacturing technology, combined with 3D scanning and modeling, to address engineering challenges within the aviation and defence sectors. The approach is not limited to tooling but extends its potential applications across various industries, including space exploration, nuclear energy, motorsport, and rail.
In recent developments, Airframe Designs has successfully executed several key projects. These include the design and production of 3D-printed tooling fixtures that facilitate the installation of external sensors on special military aircrafts, as well as the integration of new systems into heavy-lift drone platforms. The company’s expertise also extends to conceptual design at the platform level for new uncrewed air systems, the development of test rigs and tooling for electric vehicle propulsion systems, and the design and analysis of operator consoles for special mission aircraft.
