AFD Re-Certified To AS9100D by NQA
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully been re-certified by the NQA to AS9100D, and on top of this, we have included in-house manufacturing within our scope of approval, which was no light undertaking.
The past 18 months have been transformative. We’ve expanded our capabilities by acquiring a suite of additive manufacturing equipment, including two state-of-the-art Stratasys Fortus 450mc machines. This expansion demonstrates our serious investment in cutting-edge technology and our dedication to being at the forefront of the aerospace industry.
A special shoutout to our Additive Manufacturing Manager, Garry Sellick, and Quality Manager, Ross Chambers, whose efforts over the past year have been instrumental in achieving this feat. Their dedication to incorporating in-house manufacturing within our scope is seen as a crucial step as we strive to gain Civil Aviation Authority Part 21 Subpart G approval, which will allow us to manufacture flying aircraft components.
We also couldn’t have done this without the help from Clear Quality Limited and a big thank you to them for their assistance in getting us ready for the audits.
